A malady that can drive a person nuts. Help comes from an eye exam and doctor. Not me.
A very important sense is the ability to see.
But for certain people it's the question
"What color is the object in front of me?"
I hear the rhymes about tasty apples
that my friends say are red,
But when I go to the store
it may be a little green instead.

I tell people that colors are not all the same
As the colors in their pictures
Or whatever they want to claim.
I want to drive a car,
but my doctor says "Wait!"
If I don't learn the signal's order
I might have a terrible driving fate.

I have learned that color blindness changes my eyesight
And there aren't many people
Who were born with this genetic plight.
For the times I was frustrated
That I could not exactly see
The beauty of things in nature
Like pictures, or rainbows or
The colorful fishes in the deep blue sea.
