Ian groaned as he slowly woke up. His gaze was immediately met by another. “Good morning, beautiful.” Cassius whispered. He brushed Ian’s hair to the side and kissed his forehead.
Ian smiled and whispered back, “Morning.” He sat up, yawned, and looked out the window. “What time is it?”
Cassius shifted so he could grab his phone. “Half past ten.”
Ian swiveled his head at Cassius, “It’s that late already?!”
Cassius yawned. “It’s not that la-” He was interrupted when Ian yanked the covers off his body.
“We don’t have time for this! We are supposed to meet my parents at noon and it takes an hour to get into town!” Ian scrambled out of bed and ran into the walk-in closet.
Cassius slowly emerged from the sheets. “I have faith we can be ready in thirty minutes.”
Ian peeked his head out from the closet entrance with a death glare. “Get. Ready. To. Go.”
Cassius chuckled and raised his hands. “Yes, yes. As you command, my prince.”
Ian huffed and smirked, “Glad you understand, my knight.”
Cassius laughed and got ready to meet the love of his life’s parents.
