A poem about coping with depression.
Suffocating darkness, a weight on my chest
A heavy burden that won't let me rest
The world goes on, but I can't keep pace
Trapped in my mind, in this endless race

Days blend together, a blur of gray
No motivation, no will to play
My thoughts spiral down, a never-ending well
A labyrinth of pain, a personal hell

I try to break free, to find the light
But my demons pull me back, with all their might
They whisper in my ear, words of doubt and fear
Telling me I'm worthless, that no one is near

But I will not give in, I will not surrender
I'll fight these demons, with all my fervor
I'll seek help and support, to lift me up
And find the courage, to fill my cup

For depression is a battle, that can be won
With love and kindness, until the dawn
When the darkness fades, and the light shines through
And I can finally say, I made it through.
