A poem for a green lady called Janet

You drive like you're scared to live
Let alone crash and die
Denied the thrill that a fast car gives
On an open road under a blue sky

Do you know the pleasure
Of a roaring engine's vroom?
Or do you only show displeasure
At the noisy car and its fumes?

I record this poem not so green
Driving with my hair on fire
150 miles an hour I have been
With my life on the wire

Be green and save the planet
Build windmills to stop global warming
But please, please my darling Janet
Do not stop my car performing
