Awaken; come to terms. Alone; find solace in reverie.
My boredom seeps from stagnant pores, entrenched in disgust I stare you down. There's a man on the corner, arms akimbo, shouting profanities not aimed at me. I'm sure he knows all I'm about, but when in doubt I sink, hibernate. None find me here. I'm lost to the world, I've given myself to the search, to the void, I'm no longer of this earth. My mind denies all illogical words, all impetuous verse is dead to me. I'm aflame, burning embers for a heart, for a soul, no one can tell, no one can know. I see you all, your maudlin faces, walking single file to your meaningless vocations. Automaton, where'd your mind go? Nevermind, I don't want to know. I'll sit and burn. I'll sit here seething. Listening to the ruckus that is my life going on without me and I'll become one with my chair, vacillating magnanimously while seeming to care. I must keep up appearances, zombies notice the changes, they fear what is new, what's different, alive. Teach them all, teach them your ways, you great white witch, your days are numbered. Back! Step off now, don't get in my way. I'm as docile as a lamb until provoked, then, bombs away! And I'm provoked, I see what's going on, how you've taught them to march, single file, work to home and back again. I can't continue this charade, the pressure's too great, liable to explode, on your inconsistency I masticate.
