Nature brings such beauty to our eyes -

It feels so good to have the sun
Upon my bark, to know that Spring
Has finally come to the woodlands
And with it, the grasses that cling

To my trunk, dark green against
The whiteness of my trunk below
I am the home for birds that flutter
By and pause before on they go.

My arms reach out to a clear blue sky
I feel the freshness of the breeze
As it circles up and around me
Tickling and rustling my leaves.

Tiny flowers grace me with their beauty
Buttercups and violets smile
I give them shade, they give me
The courage to live on awhile.

There is a babbling brook beside me,
Delighting with its gurgling sound;
I see fish swimming freely there
And rocks among the water abound.

Peace I find here in the woodland
My neighboring oaks and pine
Add to the beauty of the forest
Yet wish they had a coat like mine.

Fox runs past and out of sight;
Deer have paused to take a bite,
Willingly I give my leaves
Answering their hunger pleas.

I am a part of God's creation
Tall and straight, I look upon
The evening star that shines brightly
And the beauty of the early dawn.
