My friend Billy's battle with terminal cancer.

Billy's Friendship

Remember that hot factory where we met?
Hard work and how much we would sweat?
My trusted friend our friendship is at an end.
It saddens me to see you dying, my friend.

I don't know why you must die of this cancer.
God knows why He alone has the answer.
It was first detected as a spot on your lungs.
To other internal organs it has now come.

It is like a wild predator it will not go away.
Until it is satisfied by eating all of its prey.
Chemotherapy and medication can't stop,
The spread of its eating away deterioration..

Billy you're a man of honor in many ways.
Don't deserve this what is taking you away.
I know you are willing and ready for God.
To live among His Angel's in heaven.

My trusted friend to Heaven you must go.
I will remain here in earthly Hell below.
Miss the friend I was honored to know.
So when you get to Heaven look down.

I'll always remember the friendship we had
You're gone missing you leaves me sad.
If you must go to heaven here I will stay.
May God reunite our friendship someday.
