A poem about how hard it is to let go.
FINAL TOAST

Here's to your eyes where I am lost,
Lost in their deep, blue stare.
Here's to the depth of emotion
That's more than I can bear.
Here's to your laugh, your face, your smile
That mean so much to me.
Here's to the reasons why it's hard,
So difficult to leave.
Here's to the things you'll always have -
My memories, dreams, and heart.
But you don't know how to love and
It's tearing me apart.
I'll tell you you can call me when
You're ready to begin,
I'll turn away and know that I
Will not see you again.
So here's to all the nights I'll cry,
To all the lonely years.
Here's to the love you won't accept.
Won't you please take my tears?
