A triolet set for Stormy with “fascinate, footsteps, inconsistent”

Hand me a glass slipper to fascinate my prince,
I hear his footsteps from the “ever after”,
That first sight of him, my heart throbs ever since,
Hand me a glass slipper to fascinate my prince.
Inconsistent in form, yet his clan to convince,
My cottage is ready for children’s laughter,
Hand me a glass slipper to fascinate my prince,
I hear his footsteps from the “ever after”.

But I need no godmother to give me advice,
No fancy carriage to take me to dance,
A magic wand’s swaying would be very nice,
But I need no godmother to give me advice
A simple reception with cake, wine, and rice,
To waltz in romance I want my fair chance
But I need no godmother to give me advice
No fancy carriage to take me to dance.
