He's going back to the hospital -

He's going back to the hospital,
He told me, next week -
More heart problems and
The future looks bleak.

The first time, in Alaska
He went under the knife,
Now, just two years later
There's even more strife.

Have to keep believing
That good things will come -
For how can I go on
Without my son?

So another round of patching
And waiting to see -
If the operation's successful
It just has to be!

These are the footsteps
Which we all must trod -
Facing health problems
We give it to God.

For He, in His mercy,
Will show us the way -
To face all our trouble
If in Him we stay.

Another Dear God letter
I'm writing this morning -
Stay with him, please,
Give us a new dawning.

Let me have faith
That all will work out
And the courage to face
What it's all about.

Prayers for the future
And hope from the past
Will get us all through;
Into His hands it's cast.
