Holloween poem
HALLOW'S EVE

The haunting winds dost blow the leaves
About the chilling air.
The black cat prowls around this night
I do not know just where.

The bats they fly about my head
Down from the blackest night.
Their leather wings caress my cheek
- Intensifies the fright.

Terror reigns within, without.
I creep with stealthy care,
For I don't know where I shall give
That one last deadly scare.

For it is Hallow's Eve tonight
I listen to the howling.
Bewitched I stand in witches garb
I'm waiting for the calling.
