Self portrait (Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it - Confucius )
Though I'm not an English Rose
Nor even a pretty face,
God gave me His beauty
And filled me with His grace.
I've learned to accept the way I'm made
And although it was hard to do
Freckles, specs and overweight
Are me,
As seen by you.
Once I learned to accept myself
And love each and every pound
I saw my inner beauty,
And my beauty doth abound.
So fear not what the mirror says
Believe in that inner you,
Your friends, your family give thanks
That only you,
Are YOU.
