I will tell you why

A young couple lies on a blanket of grass,
The moon watches and croons.
Never love a poet, she warns...

A joyful couple splashes on the glistening shore,
The moon watches and calls.
Never love a poet, she warns...

A loving couple walks among the city streets,
The moon watches and cries.
Never love a poet, she warns...

A poet sits under the weeping willow,
The moon watches and sighs.
Never love a poet...
Their hearts beat too strongly to hold.
