Innocence and life realized
Autumn leaves,
Cool breeze;
What has become of me?

I sit and remember
Where I have been,
What I have shared;
Things I would change,
Others I cherish.

With the good and the bad,
My life has been grand.
Time is passing by.

I sit and wonder
What now?

As I sit,
A voice fills my ears.
“Mommy.”
Looking in my child's eyes
It all seems clear.
My greatest accomplishment
Is sitting in front of me.

With all the love and joy
Staring at me,
I sit and ponder.

Times have changed,
Lives rearranged.
This day and age,
How to explain?

Innocence so sweet,
In a world
With no peace.
