Lyrics about my 5 brother's and I growing up in Kentucky.

My Brothers

V1:
My brothers all these memories I cherish of you.
Remember all our dreams that didn't come true.
In those days we were poor boys from Kentucky.
Dad worked each day to keep us fed we're lucky.

V2:
We ate Mom's good biscuits on cold week days.
With bacon and eggs to keep that hunger away.
I think of us gathered around the kitchen table.
Mom and Dad there keeping our manners stable.

Chorus:
My brothers I remember when we were little boys.
Our times living together with our sorrows and joys.
Days we walked the railroad tracks to gather coal.
On those days our bones shivered from the cold.

V3:
Do you remember those scary stories of Harry Fox?
I told you in bed when you were no more than tots?
How we cuddled to each other on those cold nights.
Even then our brotherly love kept us from any fights.

V4:
All these sweet memories I kept stored in my mind.
When we loved our brothers in that long ago time.
Time has pulled us apart we now live on our own.
Live away with families not around the old home.
