What or who is YOUR black rose?
Black Rose

Black Rose, in scented breath enwrapped;
Enticed, allured, beguiled, trapped
In this fool-darkened heart--
Immortal God exchanged for naught
But painful thorns and poisoned thought.

God's truth replaced by deadly lie;
And in the falsity the sigh
That all is empty deep inside--
God's place unfilled by this Black Rose
Despite the fragrance to the nose.
