A poem about facing my past.
I sit outside
as evening shadows dance

I take a moment to reflect
upon the lake of emotions
I call my heart

To have a crystal sheen
it must be cleared
of all past hurts

Darkness has fallen
and I gaze at the stars

Closing my eyes
I begin to pray
to the Divine

A soft breeze
comforts me

I feel at peace
with myself

The prayer
has been heard
