I Dream

Many a night, as I lie awake,
I dream of a place of endless beauty.
Mountains rise to softly kiss the
starlit night.
The whispers of the ocean mix with the
melodies of the wind.
The towering trees invite the shadows to
dance and intertwine in the rays of the
fading sun.
War and heartache are not known.
Voices shed no tears.
Arms do not linger longingly.
As I fall asleep, I dream once more.
