Listen to the sound of TAPS -

ANOTHER DAY

Another day
Come and gone;
All the joys and the tears
It is gone,
Leaving me in reverie;
Another day
Come and gone;
All the joys and the tears
It is gone..

How many tomorrows
Will there be?
We don't know,
We can't know,
Maybe one, maybe more;
All the joys and the tears
It is gone..
Another day
Come and gone...

I heard the Taps
Played soft and low,
Sound of the bugle
And it's echo;
Laid to rest,
One of the best;
Had to go..

For we don't know,
And we can't know;
If there will ever be
A tomorrow;
Treasure each day
That comes your way -
Firelight's glow
We all must go..

Note: Writing these words to the sound of TAPS,
I can never do it as much justice but it brought these thoughts to mind... As my father used to say "Better out and shame you, then in and pain you" -
