The rainbow chides man for being afraid of death.
RAINBOW

A rainbow up in the sky!
My spirit went soaring high.

What a perfect symmetry!
What colorful imagery!

Horizon to horizon,
A spectacular vision.

Reminded of Godly grace,
I was with Him face to face.

Nature’s true beauty, intact,
It was His glory, in fact.

But, then, after a moment,
It was no longer present.

“Rainbow, why to death you’re prone?
Pray, tell me where you have gone”.

“Man, you yourself are mortal;
Why wish I be immortal?

“Why are you afraid of death
In your each and every breath?

“Look here, I never repent,
Though my life is but transient.

“Even though my life is short,
It does have a high import.

“I bridge heaven and the earth.
I bring to you joy and mirth.

“That’s why up here in the skies,
I’m admired by human eyes.

“You too can have, just like me,
A colorful destiny.

“He made you in His image.
Why so much concern for age?

“If you were never to age,
And never get off the stage,

“Life itself would be despised.
To Death you must be obliged.”
