Shopping Woes a la Teen

When mom goes shopping for food,

Gratitude

Lift up the head, and big smile,

“Please, please bring me some cupcakes?”

Her head shakes;

All argument is futile.

When mom goes shopping for clothes,

I propose:

“I’ll just die, if you don’t buy

A t’shirt that says, “Dance queen.”

She’s so mean!

I swear, it’s true. I may die.

When mom goes shopping for me,

What a spree!

Only I can’t decide which

“But, I must have all of them!

“Oh, please, Mum?

“Not fair! Why can’t we be rich?”
