A poem about ending a relationship even though a child has been created
Yellow daffodils are scattered on the floor
the scent of them still lingers in the air
he is not sorry enough

the hallway light was left on again
I wouldn't allow darkness in
solitary sleep for one more night

Love songs are playing on the radio
they torture me in my waking hours
no song has ever been written for me

the suitcase holds all his things
it sits on the porch awaiting his hand
his luck has run out

I feel nothing for him
he has lost everything
and I am two weeks late
