A poem of the times
It’s a new world after all, a scary one for all who live.
And all who live must be aware and beware of all that is,
And all that is is scary still and leaves us all aghast.
We find we don’t know what to do; we don’t know where to go,
And next we know we hear a blast and buildings fall apart.
And people scream and demons delight as all who were serene
Are now chaotic in their minds and know not who to trust.

Our minds and our hearts and our loves amid the chaos lies
Awaiting help from whom, awaiting help from where, despair?
A hopeless sight meets our gaze as flames approach our being.
As flames approach we hear the screams and then we know for sure.
For sure the screams are those we scream, ours not theirs they are,
For loudly we die as we wonder why, when all the day was fine
We started out to live our life in joy, and ended, now we die.
