I wrote this for the one year anniversary of the passing of my mother-in-law
"Mom"

We look for you each morning
Each afternoon and at night.
We long to see your smile,
Hear you laughing with delight.
We find you in our memories,
In our garden at first light.
We see you in the hummingbirds
feeding at the flowers bright.
We miss your gentle guidance
And the love within your heart.
We wonder so very often
Why we had to part.
You are loved and missed by many
and the pain we feel is deep.
The memory of you always
within our hearts we'll keep.
