What the color yellow calls to my mind. Stream of consciousness exercise.
Yellow

Sunshine, sunflowers, the prettiest roses
Bell bottom pants with little lime green flowers embroidered on the cuffs
Bright yellow mustang I almost bought
Mustard
Tart lemons, making me see yellow
A complimentary color against my skin
Coward's color, they say
Yellow labs, but they aren't really yellow, are they?
Sand sometimes
#2 Pencils
Rain slickers and rubber ducky boots
odd-smelling stuff oozing from a leg of the baby's diaper
A favorite soft sweater
My mother-in-law's face, her used-to-be face
The face I still remember so well and miss so much.
Sunset....
