Golden sunrise
Mountain Morning

Golden sunrise
beaming from
behind yon mountain.

Snowflakes drifting softly
only yesterday--
now mere memory.

Icicles sparkle
in the morning light.

A snowman
stands guard.

On the horizon,
elk forage
for breakfast.
