going from worthless to finding meaning
If not for you
Who knows where I’d be
A self-loathing girl
That was formerly me
I hated myself
And all that I’d done
Twenty years in a battle
Satan just about won

I’d given up trying
To be what I’m not
Then you came in my life
Helping me find what I sought
To me you have given
The ultimate gift
By showing me love
You have mended the rift

I can look at tomorrow
With a smile on my face
Knowing someday we’ll meet
In that heavenly place
I used to be no one
But now that’s not true
I owe my self-worth
To my love, that is you
