This is a poem about why people need horses in their lives.
This was written for a Writer's Cramp prompt:write about a horse using a mono rhyme.

This is a picture of a horse for the teen's story about horses, Stacey's Dream.

Why a Horse Is a Necessity

My husband and I are never quite unified

About the many wonders horses provide.

He thinks that my bony Thoroughbred, Clyde

Is a waste of my time and a form of suicide.

But I find that galloping through the countryside

Brings me serenity, and whenever I am astride

I can laugh and sing, completely satisfied

By nature’s wonder and all the beauty outside.

And then there’s the connection formed in the ride

Between Clyde and me that’s truly bona fide

For it flows from Clyde’s step and his ecstatic pride

As he prances and dances, me on his backside.

There’s no way for me to be ever preoccupied

For he soothes my problems with his easy glide,

And in case you didn't guess, I should confide

Clyde’s my buffer against insanity-certified.
