A poem written out of boredom and grief.
I used to fear the darkness
I used to light a candle to keep it at bay
But now I welcome it with open arms
And call it by its name

I used to cry for it to go away
This darkness that now lives at the port
But now I long for it to stay
And set traps just for sport

I used to run to the light
I used to carry matches in my pocket
But now I set this blaze on pause
And break the pretty locket
