Just a short poem about a sick friend.
She looks at me with eyes so sad,
Remembering all she once had.

Deeply sickened by every day wasted,
Of all she's not seen, touched, or tasted.

Tormented by guilt, sadness, and despair,
Left wondering why life is so unfair.

Still she is filled with such love to give,
Her only wish is to fully live.

Living for good days as there are some,
Shrouded by thoughts of the pain that will come.

She knows in her heart of happiness fleeting,
Not afraid of hoping, for that it keeps beating.

Helplessly grasping for all the lost time,
She constantly searches for life so sublime.
