55 word short story for the current contest
She died today the death of the old. Through a peaceful sleep, her pain has now been removed.

Those left behind mourn with an underlying sense of release that they no longer have to view the shell of what used to be a vibrant lively soul.

Burial may be Friday but she's flying free today.
