The first poem I ever wrote. I was feeling Depressed at the time.
Sparks Fly

The fire blazes,
The coals are aglow.
They burn into your heart
You can feel them,
Their knowlege.
They know who you are,
What you have become.
The wind blows,
Sending the ashes to the sky;
The sparks fly.

You can feel their heat in your soul;
Like firey eyes they bore into you.
They reach for your deepest fear,
And know your every thought.
The flames are licking,
Breaking.
The wind blows in the sky;
And again, the sparks fly.

The smoke is swirling, curling.
It spreads like a blanket to surround you,
It hugs too tight.
There is no escape.
It knows your fate, what is to come;
Everything that happens next,
You don't, but you will.
The wind blows in the sky;
The sparks fly.

The heat burns your flesh,
The flames whisper in your ear.
A tear falls,
But is gone before it touches the earth.
You run, but there is no where to go,
You are surrounded.
The wind blows in the sky;
The sparks fly.

You are suffocating,
The heat blisters your skin;
You wounder if you will live,
What it is like to die.
You wish you were in loving arms,
Anyones arms, warm in your bed,
Anywhere...anywhere but here.
The wind howls in the sky;
And for the last time,
The sparks fly.
