A poem about a waitress I know. Written after a night in her company and a few beers.
The beauty who brings the beers.
Flirting and laughing we spent the evening.
An invitation for tomorrow.
What should I do?
You are not my type,
Yet I am still attracted.
Should I even try?
Why bother?
Silly punk boy and flaky preppy girl,
Where is the common ground?
We talked of beer,
And vodka,
Tequila,
Of Captains and coke.
We spoke of an SVT,
Wow that's hot!
Black hair and brown eyes,
A cute little nose.
Friends and fun,
We spent our time.
Looking forward to a party or an afternoon,
Maybe more?
Boredom vanquished and time not wasted,
An evening enjoyed.
Incoherent words are all I have now;
Maybe later I can offer more.
To the beauty who brings the beers.
