The next time something goes bump in the night - are you really alone?
Is Anybody There?

The creak of a floorboard
The flutter of a curtain
A sigh from an empty room
Is Anybody There?

A shadow, fleeting on the wall
The wail of a lonely child
A scrape from beneath the bed
Is Anybody There?

The snick of a doorlatch
A rattle at the window
A thump from under the stair
Is Anybody There?

Blame the wind or say,
"It's just an old house"
But take heed dear one
And listen to what I say;

When the moon rides high
And the wind blows strong
It's NOT your imagination
Somebody IS there!

I wrote this for my son who puts up with me
and Halloween movie marathons on A & E!
