This is a poem about mass graves found during the War on Terror.
I feel your strength,
I hold it dear.
I see your pride,
feel it near.
Your eyes hold truth,
stories never told.
This soldier stands alone,
never feeling the cold.
He's standing tall,
eyes scanning the ground.
Looking at the place,
in which children were found.
Muscles are tense,
body is shaking.
There is no joy,
only that of horrid taking.
Lowering his gun,
the soldier bows his head.
Remember me,
though you are dead.
Remember it is I,
holding your dreams true.
Sharing with you my heart, soul,
my red, white, and blue.
