Loss of a child through stillbirth.
Tears welling in my eyes,
I pray and I implore.
I wish to hear your cries,
But Allah loves you more.

Oh apple of my eyes,
Six months you lived inside me.
Then I learned of your demise.
So soon you had to leave me.

Too early for goodbyes,
You leave me so bereft.
I wish to hear your cries,
I wish you had not left.

Your tears I will not touch,
Your cries I will not hear.
But I love you, oh so much.
I'll miss you so, my dear.

As I wipe my tears away,
My gaze upon your face.
In the ground now you must lay.
I hope I'll find solace.

My child, my son, my darling,
Return to your Creator.
Despite the grief I'm feeling,
I know it’s for the better.

Oh apple of my eyes,
Your time has come so soon,
Though I will not hear your cries,
I hope we will meet soon.
