About my experience playing tic-tac-toe against a live chicken at the mall -- and losing!
My clucking foe,
you take your victory in seed,
a flash of avian bravery,
you white-legged wonder,
toothless chick,
a fowl fatale.

You've got a Barnum and Bailey
circus sideshow for a brain,
a maze of albumen acumen,
Attila the Hen.

You take the center square adeptly,
place your 'X' and mark the spot.
A rather finely-feathered factory,
you make the millet fall.

I guess that’s only one of nine,
but I say, “Arkansas, go easy
on those squares!
That corner's mine!
It's tit for tat..."

I lay these eggs and hope to beat you.
'O' by 'O', I'm 0 for 0 and blowing dreams.

I'm getting plucked!

I'm merely shelling out the quarters
as you're serving humble pie.
You thoughtful bird, you cock your head
and cross the board -- another tie...

You paltry poultry, little cheeper,
that's a dozen.

Guess it's time I flew the coop.
