A sestina poem about "My Favorites".
Eyes glazed in a silica world,
It's wide web; no expression denied,
Fingertips seeking bounty's of pleasure;
Knowledge, flesh, kings, power, and love,
Were the wallpaper made of silver,
Thusly indulged would be a mirror,

Each seeker builds a unique mirror,
To reflect a light onto the world,
Beeming from clouds lined in silver,
Of which hope had seemed denied,
Before the mirror reflected love
Bound secreted to self-pleasure,

Eyes riveted to warring pleasure,
No news hides from the mirror,
Always a war, a beating, acts of no love,
Abounding freely in the silica world,
Where no opinion or thought is denied
An office in a mirror without silver,

Though much plastic promises silver,
Dry seems its promise of pleasure,
As of the land of gold is denied
Entrance to those who reject the mirror,
Only to expound on the acts of the world,
In coffins encased without love,

Eyes seeking their own image of love,
Find it not among mounds of polished silver,
But in arms embracing a world
That delights in virtuous pleasure,
Fields of glass on silver make the mirror,
From silica'd truth not denied,

A love that seeks itself won't be denied,
It is in truth that beauty finds love,
In a place beyond the world's mirror,
Where gold rests on polished silver
To breed truth into a fine pleasure;
The beauty of the mirror reflected into the world,

In a world book-marked to reflect pleasure,
We must remember that love is a mirror,
Valued higher than the silver that sand denied.
