Not my best piece, but a reflection, as I rebuild myself.
I’m not who I thought I was;
tough Goth girl, mysterious…
That toughness didn’t last,
I shouldn’t have been too serious
about my image or my past –
can’t live in that which used to be.
I look in the mirror and I see
confusion, vulnerability…

I’m not who I thought I was;
I’m finding out who I am.
No walls to hide behind,
no more of the so-called glam -
that was a figment of my mind.
I’m just a girl, searching on.
One conflict of the battle won;
knowing, what is done is done.
