Giving it to God

Dear God I need your help
I’m crying out to you
I feel so lost and all alone
I don’t know what to do

You see God, Jamie’s quickly falling
He’s gonna hit the ground
I’m trying hard to save him
But this pain is all around

I wanted to pick him up again
If ever he should fall
Teach him how to walk again
Or even how to stand tall

But I’m not very strong anymore
I’ve grown so very weak
That’s why your love and help
I’m trying hard to seek

I’m on my hands and knees
And will be night and day
Praying that you’ll hold his hand
And teach him not to stray

Please pick him up once more
And dry his pretty eyes
Bandage up the wounds
Erase all of the lies

Please help him God to never forget
The love I have for him
And let him know I’ll always be there
When his brightest days turn dim

Please help him understand that it’s
Ok to make mistakes
And let him know you’ll light the way
Of whatever road he takes

Please God let him know that his
Guardian angel isn’t gone
And please send him back to my arms
If ever he feels alone

And I pray God when you’re done with him
You’ll open his eyes to see
How much I truly love him
And bring him back to me
