What happens after weeks of sleeplessness and being overworked beyond exhaustian.
Breakdown

Staring eyes,
Racing heart,
Giddiness unleashed.
Smiling faces,
Raised eyebrows,
Breathe
Slow
Breathe
Deep
Relax…
Relax…
Close the eyes,
See the blackness
Turn to rainbows.
Giggles, giggles!
Breathe
Slow
Breathe
Deep
Tension, twitching, ticking,
Rising…
Rising…
Rising…
Peaking.
Tears roll down the face
Control yourself!
How?
Shaking, crying, sobbing…
Take deep breaths.
Wracking sobs
Tear the throat,
Burn the eyes,
Smudge the images,
Blur the lines.
Lay softly in the dark,
Sing a quiet tune…
“And all will turn to silver glass…”
Breathe
Slow
Breathe
Deep
Reality falls away.
Open the eyes,
Searing and red,
Dry the tearstains
On the cheeks
Calming…
Calming…
Calming…
Finished.
