Torn apart by differences, we grew and saw the light of recommitment.
Recommitment

Seven years ago, we tumbled out of love.
The stars of our eyes dimmed to black.
Our steady course, so formerly entrenched,
Discovered a rift where once we’d entwined.

Seven months ago, we traveled separate paths,
When a comet warped our trajectories,
And gyrated us onto each other's orbit.
Thus we peered across the void at each other.

Seven moons ago, two rigid spheres softened.
The heavens applauded; the angels sang.
What once was vast and insurmountable
Grew warm and friendly in the light.

Seven hours ago, we realigned our routes.
In the binding tie of two drifting suns,
We at last chased away the darkness,
And now our dance illuminates the sky.
