A poem about a great journey
Par Four

My journey begins atop a tower
I see open fields and giant lakes
Soon I am struck with great power
And I will fly where the wind takes

Now I sit on the tall green leaves
And I hear it's motoring getting near
I will soon be aloft above the trees
Being taken off course is my only fear

Once again I proceed far and straight
But the final leg is the hardest goal
I come to rest and begin my final wait
Will I make it to the great dark hole?

I have begun to roll on my final trip
The Earth holds the secret to victory
My skin holds the ground with such grip
Falling in I become such great history
