Another poem by Nick
Every morning
At the rise of the sun,
Between the darkness
Of a day begun,
I sit and think
Of the webs that I've spun.

My life is a series
Of introverted dreams.
Outside my mind
You can't hear the screams.
Overanalyzing
Or so it seems.

The clock's always ticking
And I lose the words.
Opportunities lost
Like the flight of the birds.
Thoughts rushing by
Like buffalo herds.

These are the things
That you'll never know.
Lost in the abyss.
Buried under the snow.
All because
I couldn't show.

I want to say them,
But my mind won't let me go.
These are the things
You'll never know.
You have no idea
The distance I'd go.

Faith seems distant.
Futures seem bleak.
Why must I hide
All these dreams that I seek?
Why, oh why
Must I be so meek?

But even in darkness
The sun's going strong.
All my worries and fears
Were finally wrong.
Because you've discovered,
You knew all along.
