A brief rest for a troubled soul.

Miami Moon


Balmy breeze at dusk
air scented and thick
A sweet-smelling musk
a psyche heals quick.

Ice clinks in a glass.
Mellowed moods of man
Palm trees, quiet nights
spinning ceiling fans

Problems forgotten,
troubled souls bathed.
Adrift in soft lights,
haunted not unscathed.

Awakened from a trance
of dark corridors.
Heartache can't advance
when spirits soar.

A soft garden dream,
not forgotten soon.
Savored tropical scenes
under a Miami moon.
