Just something I thought of while watching the news.
They always use the right amount of emotion
(without caring).
"A body's a body"
they tell themselves,
"a half-assed grimace will
have to ease the pain
of some poor soul
who's been stung by
death.
I've seen these things all the time.
It's no big deal.
It's life, and I'm glad
I live in a place where
nothing like that could happen
(Thank God)."

They always look perfect
(surgery made it so).
"I look great!
No one will ever know
how much I lost
(my chin, my nose)
to look so well.
I think I'll
see my doctor again
on Thursday
for more collogan."

But what they lack is what
everyone else has to have:
compassion
sympathy
and above all
sincerity

Thankfully
I don't know those everyone else
in real life
They're only the home audience
after all
