A soul's endless search for what it needs
For so many years I have bled
Each day wishing I was dead
I've tried to kill the pain
But instead was nearly slain
It cascaded down like a flood
Forever I've been seeking blood
Wanting the substance that gives life
For too long I've been living in strife
I will find what I seek
If not my future's bleak
