When one's pain becomes unbearable to endure in life.

Death Dream

I dreamed this morning would bring me peace.
Sweet aroma of roses my pain would cease.
If I must endure this pain in my life for eternity.
God let eternity end now, while I've my sanity.

The heavy drugs have the effect of just aspirin.
The pain will increase beyond human caring.
I was taught to fight for life's very last breath.
Only God decides when it is time for my death.

I pray and dream my pain will soon decrease.
Stop this agony I endure, as the pain increases.
God forgive but only death would end my pain.
By staying alive will give it a reason to remain.

I've been taught life is precious gift from God.
So keep it alive and take what comes or not.
Sometimes I go out of my head, in this pain.
I'll always honor my God and His Holy Name.
