A poem of Winter.
Lady Winter in her robe of white,
with her blanket of snow which brightens the night.
Sleep, sleep, she says to one and all,
Winter is here, we are done with the fall.

Fly South little birdies and sing your song,
but remember to return when the days grow long.
Big bear in his cave, little frog in the mud,
sleep my friends until the flowers bud.

Soon all is quiet and the water grows still,
the only one lurking is the man on the hill.
He admires the work of the lady in white,
looking out his window he takes in every sight.

Winter, Winter, what wonders you hold,
changing my view in ways so bold.
But I must be jealous of just one thing,
it never fails, she leaves with Spring.
