This is a poem I wrote to reflect my views of the world right now .
Living in a fascist America.
False precepts have been instilled.
Fragile minds climb upside-down staircases.
Leaping for the keys to quickest descent.
Without looking first,
Sacred values are bent.
Broken by the paths taken,the
Harkening of least resistence.
Shadows of infirmities strangle the strong.
The will to power is seen as an intrinsic, reveering dream.
I too plunged with the rest for the unrelenting fall.
My benevolent soul yearns while it burns for edification ,a dream unseen
As corruption and chaos tears every seam.
Desperate for chastity I scream from the inside out.
Twisting and turning on the tree of doubt.
Lost in the whirling winds of conformity.
Baffled by life's insane debatchery.
Harrowing to my mind, daunting to my spirit.
I feel solace in the warmth of earth's weeping willow tree.
I nourish its roots with tears.
Tears for the world that has changed for a dime.
Tears for life as I see it
